Depends on the content of your portfolio... If it's about modeling (or anything else than lookdev), then it doesn't matter the materials and textures; but if it's about lookdev the you should consider doing your own stuff, ntl I think it's also ok using third-party stuff. -

I use Dvorak thats is annoying. I thought the software I using was broken as I couldnt ctl z at all, kept switching between dvorak and asdf, dvorak worked the other didnt, took ages to work out that the z key was broken. -

Thanks and Yung as well. If he didn't help, then I'd be SOL. Fred still put together the page and made it purdy, I did the brief, Yung is organizing judges and such. I really wanted to bring in some mobile stuff, but next time... around xmas. -

I have asp.net/sql experience. If you need some volunteers, I may be able to fit in some time in a few weeks. My sites were mostly internal application style sites, but I think it would be fun to try a commercial-ish site. -

yeah. it's working fine. The errors that appear is because i deleted the .mtl so he is saying that file is missing. But the mesh is good. Just tried it. I haven't. I just finished assembling the file to upload here and I might start texture soon. For pratice. -

Re: Baking normals outside of 0 to 1 UV space
I know it overlaps and that's what I'm going for, but to keep my UV space neat I put some UV's out of the 0 to 1 space and want to bake to them. Guess I am just sol and will have to put them in 0 to 1 space. -

He very well might be SOL if he didn't file DMCA's. Just having oatmeal's content on his site isn't enough to prove a copyright violation. OM will have to show that FJ actually had knowledge he was infringing to begin with, that's where it gets murky. -
