Zbrushworkshops has one dedicated to 'Sculpting Hard Surfaces, Armor and Repetitive Patterns', and another for 'Sculpting Realistic Skin & Scales' which might come in handy for dragons. http://eat3d.com/zbrush35_character looks like it might also contain a few elements that might help when doing fantasy characters (armor,…
I love the dots in the visor, but other details seem out of place. All the scratches and noise make his armor look like its made out of something other than metal. The armor itself looks cool from a design standpoint. Show me the rainbow six stuff, I'm curious.
Today's update with where I am at so far. Made the multi mesh for the straps on his back and added to the armor. Started adding some folds to the shirt but not too much as I will be putting a jacket on him later. Also the shirt is going to be pretty form fitting like slightly loose under armor.
I don't really like what i've heard about fallout 3, but the armor's already pretty much been explained. The Capital wasteland brotherhood has access to a lot more pre-war technology, it makes sense that unlinke the Brotherhood on the west coast, the have the means to produce new power armor.
Hello guys. So i started new character, first of all i create simple body form zsphere, and simple armor using 3ds max and extract in zbrush. the main task is to make a nice silhouette, work with large forms and add some armor In this try i create character from my head, without any scethes :) let's see what happens
Hello, Badge. This model has 2800polys without armor, 4300 with both swords and armor. His textures are spread out through 5 panels right now but that can be changed later. I'm still working on his textures so an update will be posted later. Thx for posting!
Thanks Alberto! :) Got an update... kinda blocking out the armor. His shoulder armor could stand to be a bit wider due to his massive deltoids... Trying to hurry this project along... I just want to get to lowpoly already! Everything except the body is in a really rough state so... there are going to be lots of changes.
Hey guys, I'm planning to start on this tomorrow I've never participated in any challenge yet. Are there any things I should keep in mind? @AdamDanby isn't it better to have the armor done before you bring it back in Zbrush and refine it. Since the armor has an influence on the way your wrinkles should fall?
Hey back with another update! I'm further along with polishing out the major armor shapes and I'm still hashing out the helmet design. I'm probably going to keep the helmet as a face protector/headdress instead of a full helmet. Next up I need to consider adding detailing to the large pieces of armor.
Hi @Nizza_waarg Thanks, glad you like the detail! Yeah, there is a lot of rust in the armor which does strain the eye. I thought about making the armor clean but I also wanted her to look battle hardened. I'll need to tone it down for my next character like you said. rogermein
