I want to take a screenshot while 3ds max11 is open.I seen in fraps you can assign a button to take a screenshot but 3ds max11 seems to have all there buttons filled up and i dont want to mess with its defaults. Any suggestions?
Hey i'm making a custom toolbar to replace my main toolbar. and wanted a way to make the pull down buttons (how the selection region pulldown lets you choose difrent types of selections) anyone know a way to create these type of buttons?
By chance did they readd the move selected objects to layer button back into the scene explorer window? I can't stand having to use the button on the mini version where the layers are a tiny drop down menu.
Better yet, never use the Mirror button on the Toolbar. Only use a modifier to mirror your meshes. The Mirror button uses a negative scale to do its dirty work. Most exporters do not support this.
could it be a lack of global subsampling? try max 2.5 star or hamersley. in the projection mapping rollout of the render to texture dialog click the options button. then the setup button in the projections options dialog. then enable global subsampler.
There's a button somewhere called Keyboard Shortcut Override (or a similar name) - try searching the Max help for "keyboard override", it should help you out. Chances are you just hit that button (it's somewhere on the toolbar) by accident.
Shame that it doesn't have the second stick and back buttons built in, otherwise it would have been a day one for me. But at least they fixed those TERRIBLE buttons under the bottom screen.

You can easily convert / export Micromesh by pressing'Convert BPR To Geo' button which you can find above 'DIVIDE' button in Geometry tab ;) You can press it only in BPR mode. Hope that helps
