The problem with large polygons has nothing to do with texture tiling. It's a fill rate issue. Large polygons with textures slathered all over them will result in one of two things, or both: - texture 'swimming' (a serious issue on PS2, but every graphics system can be affected by it) - huge hits to fill rate performance… -
