Warrior is a modeling practice that aimed to improve my hard surface modeling skills in modeling tactical clothing and gear, as well as texturing skills. It was a lot of fun modeling this realistic 3D character model and learning a lot in the process, especially in Substance 3D Painter. Discover more:…
Do gameart after every party ;) That's how i got into the industry. After comming back from clubs around 4 am I always modeled for hours .. What I want to say is, do art whenenver you can! in the bus, after the club, always! Push yourself and get as much crits as you can!
<3 Hope you get a textured final. : ) Regardless, great design with great execution. If you're going to go the whole 9 yards, I'd love to see your low poly topology & normal mapping projection workflow. Your weapons are some of the most solid pieces of gameart I've seen, and I want MOAR.
not as spectacular as your awesome zbrush sculps - here's my entry for the micro gameart challenge over at cgtalk. goal was to model a RTS vehicle with 1000tris + 512² texture within a week. Wish I could have spent more time on both modelling and especially texturing, which I really had to rush in a few hours.
When I review portfolios I could care less about the limit the artist imposed on themselves. I care far more on how they used the triangles and how wasteful or useful they were. With that said, relative to many other aspects of gameart, coaching someone to be more efficient with their poly budget is pretty low hanging…
Hello everyone! Well, as my first proper first post here on PC, i'd like to showcase my gameart folio. Domain name is temporary. Thought i should jump start the portfolio pimp threads :) Generally, im looking for critique on the models as a whole. Ill upload the textures/wires soon, this is just an image i made up for what…
Grew up on a terrible 3d online community (i won't say it's name here as i don't want to sound rude or something, but ask johny, he will know which one is it for sure *buh! lol ) Polycount (perhaps on the same step as Tweak foruns', but that's for a more high resolution aproach) is for sure the best thing that happened to…
I'd be up for it, but lately I haven't been making a lot of gameart and kinda kept myself to general discussion :P. I also second Rooster :). He's an oldie who always appeared to be a responsible dude. (and he posted some interesting stuff about 3d concept art with alpha planes and stuff a long time ago :P)
@ Renderasdf, 99% of the time you can fast close lightbox by just clicking outside the img (in the black space) When you open my site you go straight to photography, maybe you should also skip " home" abd let it go to the gameart page when you open the site instead. It looks clean, nice and easy :)
One of your pictures is a bit fux0red up. You only seem to have loaded the top of half of the picture to your webiste. Here it is: http://stephko.viranyi.de/portfolio/gameart/folio_hank.jpg Other than that, I love the layout and design. Looks awesome. If you really want to broaden your work some showing some figure studies…
