On 3/11/2009 a new usergroup in Dallas will be holding a meeting at the SMU Guildhall (http://guildhall.smu.edu), the speakers will be 2 professionals from Janimation (http://www.janimation.com) discussing modeling on XSI importing to ZBrush for sculpting and back again.
It doesn't matter if you are an amatuer or a long standing pro, all are invited and we look forward to learning from each other.

A CGDallas meeting is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their skills in a friendly atmosphere. A typical group has 20 to 40 members who meet monthly to practice 3D Modeling techniques. The average meeting lasts one to two hours, covering topics from modeling to texturing.
We will aslo be syncing up with ABOSG (http://www.abunchofshortguys.org)

I was re-reading this post, and I am wondering...Do we get this stuff just for showing up??

Enjoyed talking to him. He is helping me flesh out the April meeting - so if you can make sure you come out to the April meeting as I am sure I will be able to con him into coming out again!!

Yeah that was 20 days ago..
Dude send me your email and I will make sure get notified in plenty of time AND reminded several days before.
The main reason is the SMU Guildhall only allows students in the buildings on the weekend. However we are looking at moving the events to the Janimation studios - I will see them on Monday.
We will be discussing selling your art / models / services online. So if you have been looking at trying to make some passive recurring revenue to cover your starbucks addiction or mayber your car note this is the meeting for you.
