he's going to be a mount... a grotesque ox-like creature with human arms and hoof hands. Theres a little dude behind his right shoulder and the only way to tame him was to demonically implant the reins through his back between the shoulder blades, around the spinal cord and to his head. It's the only way to hurt him enough to control him (and that's only with the blindfold on)..... He's blindfolded until battle.

thinking about which arm to mirror, also working out the reins that penetrate his torso behind the neck

now to work out the face and harness. The harness is still penetrating his torso through that dowell between his shoulders.

nice- the side view seems a bit too sprawled out- might feel more balance if you pulled the hands back, and raised the torso-

yea i was thinking of doing that or adding more foreshortening to the ortho... but that wouldn't make sense so I'll change the side view.

I'd make sure the knees in the back face forwards -- the back legs almost look kind of backwards. Maybe thing about some sort of mauling spike or horns on the head? Maybe some sort of protective cap? bang this thing out so you can move to 3d!

It makes me think of a Catoblepas... a cattle like creature whose neck wasn't strong enough to lift his head, which was a good thing. See, anything meeting its gaze died instantly. I think it's the way the head is facing down so much.

might want to pop those teeth off and make them in maya to get some quick depth

i like the eyes and neck in your drawing a lot -- you should work on those a little more to try to really nail them. nice stuff, keep going
