ok heres what im cooking up
my idea is to build a aircraft of sorts with a insect like build. Its crew operated and I wanted to play that up with the ww2, b17 fuelage art and turrets. I may replace the rocket pod with some futuristic missles or something. The main weapon is the long gun on the left. I'm thinking it's some sort of railgun or energy weapon.

hey looks cool- I know this isnt a real vehicle so it doesnt have to actually look, but the wings on the one side makes me thing this should be aerodynamic so it would need to have some sort of aerial symmetry, while the other side with the huge gun, makes me think this vehicle is more of a rocken propelled pod, ship thing, so being a-symetrical wouldnt be a problem. Its your call but it seems like one or the other would have to go-

thanks for the quick reply! I did try to keep the weight balanced. The way i figure it the large gun would be balanced by the crew pod, fuel tank, and various missles. Maybe I could make the equipment under the crew side larger... The gun side will also have a little stub wing just like the visible side.

Awesome start, I agree that the gun does make it seem heavy on that side and off balance, but that could just be that it's cropped on that side (makes me think it's much bigger than I can see)

I'm starting to think my design is too modern or human influenced rather than created by a machine race. Maybe changing the weapons hanging on the wing will help. That turret ended up looking way too old school... The minigun has to go too..

Loving all the asymmetries. I can see your concern about the human influence but a few small changes will fix that.

These shapes are taking me longer to build than I expected. That "how u model dem shapes" thread is a good reference.
The concept is a rough idea. I usually think of more interesting stuff while im modeling so I'm not sticking to close.
