"winged gorrilephant" wins just for the name alone. Arm looks a bit odd (like they are joint to its head) but you can fix that when you refine the concept

edit: agree with tumerboy below, wings > mane!

looking again, I don't think it was intended to be wings, but more of a mane. . . having said that, they should be wings. :P

Fleshing out the concept a bit more.. seeing if I can get some interesting armour stuff goin.
Wings are also a bit sketchy in terms of design atm.

E/ PS: this thing is an Abomination.

I think his rear legs should be a little longer/more ape like. Blend the Elephant and Gorilla together more, rather than just tacking parts of one onto the other.

I dont think you should add a saddle unless you plan to also make a rider, and I think the 5th tusk maybe too much

4 tusks and 1 nose horn maybe, like a rhino.

omg rhino, and you got a spiked tail of a Ankylosaurus... and with bigger wings we may as well call it a dragon, so what is it, a Armored Dragorhinorrilephantosaurus?

Went off on a bit of a tangent and made it/him more dragon like.
also throwing around the idea that allot of the time he walks around on his back legs so his arms are free to wield the axe.
also wondering how to put more elephant stuff back in.. or if I should just carry on going in this direction (gorilla/dragon)

REALLY liked the original head much more than this, dragon looks so generic compared to what you had. I think you should reconsider.

previous design was much much better. Maybe you can add the dragon leg to the previous one, or make the elephant leg a bit more dragon-like, I duno.

Tried putting the elephant head back on the slimmer body but it didn't really work so...
consider it reconsidered.

Sketched up some more ideas and a couple of head variants.
wings to come. (or not depending on where I wanna take it.)

It feels completely different from the refined silhouette, is it really a good idea to model in this T pose for a character who will be primarily in the "gorilla" pose? Right now it looks like a pig-man with huge ears and I'm not liking it much.

Out of the 3 heads in the earlier wips I prefer H2, the one with the elephant trunk. Actually I prefer all of the old refined silhouette.

Couldn't get the Gorrilephant going in a direction that I could see myself finishing it.. So I decided to ditch him completely and go for a more generic idea that I could see myself finishing. As you can probably tell my main concern right now is keeping myself motivated to finish something.. rather than placing anywhere near the top 100 :poly122:

a few errors in the bake that i'll fix in photoshop.
Also thinking about how to work in the poly count logo.. Might go with a tatoo.

Came out pretty cool! I really like his face/head and the way you set up the forearm tusks. Looks functional, which is a good thing.
