Hi guys.

This will be my first war. Still pretty new to this normalmapping thing so it will be a good exercise!

Here's some blobsi made. I'm not really sure on what I want to do yet. But my favorites are 12, 20, 25 and 39. What do you guys think?

I like:

2 some freaking demon with sharp weapons can come out of it

19 some other unarmer freaking alien demon without weapons(bare claws)

25 reminds me a bit like a starcraft feel(Protoss?)

31 like the silhouette: head, arms balanced with tail(?) and long weapon

D - Norms, Inv or clericon. Could also be Demon prince.

E - Demons, Demon lord

F - Demons, Abomination

B and C seems to be most popular so I decided to go with C since I think it's more original.

I made a quick concept of what I had in mind.

Basically it's made mostly from metal, except the head and arms. The arms has some kind of machinegun and an ammo box attached to them. The head is covered with a mask/hood. I want it to remind of a vulture or zombie. Kind of slow moving but dangerous. For the back I was thinking that it would have a tank with blood that keeps the organic parts alive.

i think it'd be cooler if he had armor covering that neck. Will solidify things a bit more, keep it more 'cyborg' instead, 'crazy turkey neck guy'.

I agree with the helmet. hmm.... maybe more of a difference between straps and metal? They kind of run into each other right now.

@corv: The helmet gives a beat up/sad appearance to the character. And more than that: it's not specialy cool to look at, and thats a problem since human focus on face first, make it pop imo.

I agree about the neck, though more from a practical standpoint-- a head attached to a long thin neck like that is just begging to be decapitated. I got nothin on coldkodiak, but i did a quick paintover of that neck-- just some simple armor plating to tie the head more to the body visually and also to protect it. As a side note, I agree with dolemite in that the gasmask version was more graphically striking.

I sharpened up the barrel a bit. I was unable to do it more because the edges got a bit bulged out.

I'll abandon the gun for now till I'we done the arms.

Next up: ammo box

This shouldn't prevent you from sharping up the barrel though. At any rate I think it looks fine haha...

I'we been struggeling with the body. Was more difficult than I first thought. Now I'm on my 4th attempt to make it decent looking. The collar is currently a placeholder till I'we concepted the new neck.
