3ds max PathDeform not working.

So I'm trying to "PathDeform" this twisted wire. This is what I come out with:

I've tried messing with the settings but this is the best I could get.

Any ideas of what the problem is?

use Path Deform (WSM) instead of PathDeform. It's at the top of the modifiers list.

Thanks that helped the shaped of it. But now the problem is that the thickness of the cable tripled in size. It also twisted it a ton so I put -6500 in under "Twist" and it seemed to have the normal twist. But the thickness is still really high. Any ideas?

reset xform, make sure you've selected the right axis and then click move to path

Regular pathdeform just deforms your object to be the shape of the path wherever it is. Like aniceto pointed out the World Space Modifier allows you to move the object around in world space to the actual path. Use the vanilla form if your object is already placed and just needs a new shape, use WSM if you need to move your object to the path.
