Starting character modelling

So ive been a weapon and enviroment modeller for about 6 months and now since looking round these forums ive been really inspired to do some character modelling but i dont know where to start. can anyone help me

Look at tutorials on the web, start with the face, get good at the topology distribution then the body follows along.

Much more about learning anatomy and how to represent human figure then the technical side of it. It takes a long time to be able to do people convincingly so get studying.
