Racing ship

Hi folks, just thought I'd post this ship up. Its my first attempt at producing a game asset, it stands at around 5150 polys, to be used in a wipeout style mod for UT3, theres still a bunch of stuff I'd like to add/tweak but I need to move on to some other stuff, Cheers.

Very nice. I love the overall shape of the ship, and the metal plates on the main body. They look really sweet with the spec and normal maps.

I dig where the scratches and paint peelings are, looks close to authentic.

Some discoloration and tonal variants would be nice.

looks great! i can't imagine a plane/rocketship being painted in only red though... IMO a pattern of some kind (maybe with white or something) could improve this piece some more? again great work so far.

a wipeout mod in the unreal editor sounds pretty nifty. if that is going to be the players ship I feel that some more interest could of been put on the players perspective of the ship. Like putting some of that panneling effect u have on the side and top - take that around to the back too.
Good job for your first asset.

looks pretty cool man, especially at 1st glance. after looking a bit more, I begin to wonder why the body has so many panel lines that seem kinda random and irregular. paint looks dope in the realtime grab. maybe for the next one study some aeronautic diagrams and apply those kinda panel seams to it? just an idea, cant wait to see more dude.

Thanks for the feedback peeps, I think you might be right about adding some additional visual interest at the rear and a little more colour variation, hopefully I'll have a bit of spare time over the weekend to make some more tweaks.
