The green feels a little too sea-foamy for my tastes.
Also the "new post" icon next to thread titles blends into the grey behind it a bit too much.

This isn't public - not yet at least. Jesse and a few others were shown this while I showed Sonic the new theme. It was actually public for 15 minutes this afternoon but we kept that on the DL. It's not 100% finished, but damn near close.
The out-standing issue with the wide theme is how we handle & display the rotating header images. Having it left-justified looks fugly so we'll be brainstorming solutions.
Big thanks to qube for pushing me in the right direction with this theme and the rest of the mod/admin team for their 2-cents as we went along.
The overall goal of the look of polycount, once we flip the switch, is to let the videogame art be the sexiness of the site. So, by maintaining a minimal approach we'll hopefully help the artwork you guys create pop out even more.
It might be nice with a wee black tab for the "Art by..." text to go on. It's pretty obscured on most of the images.
Keep them centered but have either side bracketed by a non changing image with polycount flavor. So it will look all viewscreeny or whatnot.

in this shot in particular ^, the text kinda disappears into the background of yellow
if there could be some way to have a set backdrop behind the spot where 'artist info' will be written, itd be great. maybe a transparent box, or a filled in black box... -shrug-

As a side note, I stopped using the wide version because it was actually too wide... Needs just an inch of black on each side in my opinion. No biggie though, I like the default.
A retro polycount skin would be fun
