Figured i'de start a costume thread, feel free to post WIPs of your own costumes!
So heres a test run on some makeup hair and the rest. My GF did the makeup and i think its pretty awesome, we ordered some better scar sculping stuff that should be here in a few days, that stuff was terrible to work with. Got the clothes from goodwill for like $15 total, fucking awesome. The jacket is a bit more purple that it shows in the pictures, and we plan to dust/dirty/etc up the clothes as well.
Gotta figure something out with the hair, needs to be more of a pee-green color, any suggestions?

Could also get some sort of chalk/pastel in a more yellowish color, dust it in and spray really cheap aerosol hair spray to act as a fixative for the chalk.
I was thinking of hitting up the thrift stores and shoot for the 4th or 5th Doctor Who.

What i do is print off something like that and bring it with you to value village, goodwill, and other thrift shops. You can always dye clothes to better fit your needs. So you could always look for a white long jacket. If you fuck up oh no $5 down the drain...
So god damn fucking true.
Also, EQ, it seems the red part on your scars is too focused on the scar itself. Theres a couple great shots on google images of heath as a policeman where you can just see the scar marks themselves. IMO the red comes from his inasne application of red lip-stick (makeup) over top the scars, than the actual disfigurement itself.
Gonna be lots of jokers this year, but who ever is the dirtiest will reign supreme.
edit: If you want to stand out atleast, pick the nurse outfit

Green vest, blue sport coat, purple long coat. I'm sure those aren't easy to find, especially with the Joker being so popular.
But doing the shirt/green vest combo like in the Jail scenes shouldn't be too hard?
As for Ironman, its more hard work then it would be expensive. Papercraft/cardboard/metallic paint is pretty damn cheap, considering...

white makeup, especially combined with camera flash, washes out markers like the brows, cheekbones, and jaw that we see on figures with low bodyfat.

First pic is sculpey base, which i baked
2nd pic is sculpey moldmaker, which i used to make a mold from the base, then baked.
And 3rd pic is a test run using sculpey again from the model, attached with spirit gum, i ordered some liquid latex, and some scar clay and i'll do some test runs and see which is more flexible and light.
