Maybe, I'll try to make this thread useful, put some character model sheets up for grabs or something. I'll start with a couple speed paints just for fun.
haha, nice ones man. i like how much texture/grain there is in the top two... i think people are gonna start getting a little exhausted of the digital-painterly type thing at some point (not quite yet), so i think it's kind of refreshing to see grounding elements like that. you got any more relatively recent work you can post? stuff from your blog or whatever?
Great stuff as always, Snowfly. I love the second one, I actually lol'd.
How did you go about doing the first one? Did you just have a background image then paint on a multiply layer or something? It looks ace! I really have to try something like that.
snowfly, would love to see all your stuff dumped in one place like all the stuff in your blog/posted in PC collated. what about that automatic thing that photoshops supposed to have?
very impressed with the strong sense of motion in these last few. lots of motion, lots of texture, and your nearly trademark color control. keep running with these.
thanks guys. here is an image i have been working on on and off for the past week whenever i have an hour to spare. it's a study for a character called The Progerian, a time distorting gnome stalker with the tendency to pop back into real time just to see the surprised look on his victim's face as he rips out its innards.
awesome snowmang! The little girl character concept has a lot of personality, and the upshot into the adult's face in the storyboard does a great job of expressing that feeling of being a little kid in a cold adult's world. What's the girl's name?
There is a great deal of character in the latest one. The right arm position seems a little odd (blade doesn't seem to line up to fingers as expected), but that's the only thing pulling me out of the sketch. Love the face, and gesture.
The quality of the painting on that Sai experiment is very rich. I hope you have time to keep posting sketches .
Woah! Man super cool to see you posting again, you're one of the several around here whose art inspired me to take up 2d. Love the chick with the bear claws a lot.
Thanks guys, work has me doing tons of UI lately, so these are therapeutic :-p
toxic-thanks for dropping in! Your Mixamo entry was badass.
JoeC-Wicked environments!
Suprore-Checked out your sketch thread, I love the humanoid species studies! Really cool stuff.

Keep rocking!
I painted this one while creating custom brushes.
Do you start many of these from linework?
Somehow I missed the girl in the short comic last time... VERY nice stuff there!

'nother garish speed paint. Maybe I'll make it into another one of my shitting fantasy characters.
The last orc painting seems nice too but he looks like he is smiling instead of a battle ready intimidating face.

I really should start focusing on things other than character designs.
