NLE video software advice?

I'm mostly editing with DV and Fraps source, adding titles and simple transitions, and putting out to DVD, WMV, and MOV.
Been using Premiere for awhile, comfortable with the UI and hotkeys, but it's been just so damn crash-prone on my last project that I'm really sick of it. And the motion editor is really horrible.
Any advice from polycounters about good NLE software for Windows? Vegas is looking pretty good so far, though Avid is interesting.
