For games currently in production as well as upcoming projects across all platforms Playlogic Game Factory is looking for talented artists.

We have vacancies for:
Model and texture artists
Technical artists
Character animators
Level designers (Unreal 3)
Environment artists
Cutscene or Machinima specialists

Playlogic Game Factory is a studio located in Breda (the Netherlands) and fully owned by Playlogic Entertainment, Inc; an independent publisher of entertainment software for consoles, PCs, handhelds, mobile devices, and other digital media. As we rather be clever than big we are focussed on innovative design and production techniques. Currently the studio is working on in-house developed IP and as a first party contractor for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE).

I just want to know before i apply do you have a separate department for modeling and texturing.Because i am out of touch for texturing.From last 3 years i am doing only modeling.So is that ok for you?

that is a bit ridiculous, only doing half a job ? if it was a movie production it would make sense , but nowadays any modeler should be able to texture.

I second the part on texturing as well....but I guess there are always some places that still only have you do half the work apparently.

We do have artist that create most of the textures. So if your texture skills are a bit rusty that doesn't have to be a problem as long as you are able to UV map your models correctly.
In general however, I believe that your models will benefit greatly if you know how to texture them.

Do you guys do much outsourcing? or would we need to relocate to the Netherlands?

There are tons of places that do it, its smart to give your artists work that they are best at.

Not to say that its not beneficial to be good at both, but I see it a lot.

Yes, we do use outsourcing sometimes but only to specialized companies. If you want to apply as an individual you would need to relocate to the Netherlands which isn't as bad as it seems

That is not ridiculous dude.there are lot of game studios has a sep departments..and i m working one of dem..they wont allow u to do any other work....its smart to give your artists work that they are best at..
