Hey guys,
this is for gameartisans.org contest. The goal is to make an "Extreme Makeover" of one of your older works.
So this will be Iron Maiden's Eddie in a scottish Clansman outfit:
Probably it would have been a better idea to divide the mesh into several pieces after scultping but thanks to the clothes these seams wont be visible anyway...

Sounds like an interesting comp. Game Artisans is down at the moment, though. I don't suppose you have a copy of the brief?

Here's the latest update:
I added the body, kilt, shirt, and armor. All parts are still WIP as I want to block in things first. Next is belt and sash.

Good work overall, are you baking into a normal map?
I think some of the parts need more volume and definition to sell its believability like the metal plates on the armor.
Overall the straps and proportion look very nice designwise.
Is the cloth and the straps created in Zbrush or modeled separately in another app?
Secondly, I do agree with bens comment on the cloth
and thirdly I think you may want to check your anatomy on the gastrocnemius muscle

I know the clothes have a very sculpy look. I would have changed it if I had more time but deadline is close and so most stays how it is now
@Shimmer: Yes all pieces were first created and placed in Max and then taken to Zbrush except the shirt under his armor which was a ZBrush Meshextraction. His socks for example were just a cheap tube.
@Archanex: Yes the anatomy may look a bit different as I tried to get this specific "stripy" look of Eddie's muscles.
There will be a big update with finished lowpoly, texture and pedestal tomorrow...

The only crit I have is a practical one. With that much blood letting going on that his upper half would be covered in blood and muck, why are his boots/feet so clean?
Just the "skin" is a bit too pink and smooth, imho.
I would have expected it to be more grey and brown with AO from the creases baked in. More similar to the usual Pics of him.

@Por@szek: Hehe. I just rendered the picture 4x bigger sharpened it, halfed the size, sharpened again, halfed the size again and looked where it could use some additional sharpness.
@tremulant: Yes you're right. The MR SkinShader and the lighting ate up the normals a bit.:( Unfortunately I didn't have that much time to work on the shader as I was a bit in a hurry. I hope I'll get a better result next time...
