The head will be shallow relief (squashed 75%) on a bronze shield. That's why the hair is so flat.

cool! but if it's going to be put on a shield, why do you need a neck? (is that going to be on the shield too?) or was the neck just to make the modeling of the head easier? good job!

Heh, that's right. The neck won't be visable on the shield.
It's pretty much done unless I get some good suggestions. Squashing it and making it bronze doesn't really put the P in WIP.
If I was to continue after the shield, I'd make the snakes wind and writh all around her head, with little snake faces and tongues.
