UV tools suggestions?

I heard about the Chugnuts UV tools but cant find em. I have been just unwrapping with the standard max tools and would like to have some more options.

Can anyone suggest a good plugin or help me find the Chugnuts tools.

Why it isn't a part of Max I have no idea. I think the extra "g" in chuggnut was throwing your searches off.

It is also stickied at the top of this very forum in the "max plugins" post, second post down. In case you need to find it again

On the topic of UV mapping, are there any UV relax tools for MAX that work like Maya's, where it relaxes based on world coordinates? I know UVhelp can do it, but you can't pin the border edges. I could use Maya, but I don't want to switch between the programs all the time.

Have you tried using "relax dialog" under 'tools' in the Edit UVWs dialog. You'll need Max8. I find the setting "relax by face angles" gives a very similar result to Maya. You can pin the edges in this too.

I can't believe I missed that! Must have been too used to max 7 and thought I was still using it. Thanks Sprung!
