what do you think about while you're working?

Sometimes without really thinking about it, while I'm working my mind will wonder and 'do its own thing' as my concentration is focused on whatever. For example, if I've seen a film recently sometimes I'll be imagining conversations between minor characters that you dont see, or what would have happened in the film if some key event went differently.. but kind of subconsciously. I wont actually notice what I was thinking about until I take a break or finish..

I just realised now that I had been imagining the warehouse guys boss chewing them out for letting axel foley from beverly hills cop sneak in and pretend he was a customs official..

Hehe, well it's often the other way round for me, I'll hum things or sing/play them mentally, and if it sounds good then either I have to write it down straight away, or get to a guitar so I can play it before I forget it!

Well...being a guy, I naturally think about sex every 15 seconds. No, Just kidding, sex doesn't enter my mind that often, although that is supposedly a fact about the male psyche.

Actually, usually when I work, and I really am working, the only thing on my mind is my work. Which is why if there's something I really don't feel like thinking about ,then I'll just find some work to do. Although I have to be fairly into it for that to happen. I mean ,there are times when I just have no drive or motivation, and usually I'll just think about whatever my mind can come up with.

ditto, i do exactly the same thing. kinda like giving a tutorial where i explain what im doing and i tell them why im doing it.

but sometimes i imagine how a conversation would go if i were to meet a certain person. i just play the whole thing out in my head

Followed by more inane cursing and me trying to figure out what just happened.

when i work its like i am solving a million problems,i am always thinking of what i am working on, concentrating. i really have to think about form and what muscles are doing under the skin and what direction the light is coming from and in turn what surfaces the light is bouncing off and what color that light would be now and what materials things are made of and how they react to light. if my brian is thinking of something else i have to stop painting/ scultping to think about it. i need to be focused 100% on what i am working on or it ends up looking like crap. its like telling your computer to play a graphicly intensive game, but also stream mp3 off the internet and watch movies and defrag all at the same time, the performance is always going to be better if you just give it one thing to do. but that might just be me.

Its mainly when I work in silence, I guess I just like having background noise and I create my own

I often think about killing my co-workers or what it will feel when I finally quit and I won't have to deal with the constant bullshit that goes on where I work. How good it will feel to never have to interact with those people again. Other than that I think about finishing all the damn models I have half done and finally getting a portfolio together. Or I'll think about whatever game I'm currently hooked on at home.

I often think about the stablity of the building i work in. ie I am on the 9th floor and hope none decides to semtex the main pillars etc
I also sometimes become really aware of the height of the building and imagine all the people on the floors below me,which makes feel a bit weird. (quick eat more jelly beans)

I often think on the work I'm doing, how to make a job easier and more efficient for the institution and people I work for/with. When things are slow I sometimes think on music, politics, and Lost (subjects that are often discussed around my work place). Additionally, I try to keep my focus on my walk with Christ and how he can use me throughout the day.
