Back from Mexico (pics)

I'm going to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico next week for two weeks which may be the first real vacation I've ever taken (besides when I was a kid). Luckily, I'm going with a friend who's gone down there once a year since 1991, and I've got a pretty good idea what I'm in for. I've got the basic rules and advice down, drink purified water, don't flash the cash, use condoms, etc. If anyone has an advice or things to do, I'd love to hear it. I also hope to take a bunch of pictures, and post them when I get back.

On the last day of my Mexican 'vacation' I had to drive from Acapulco to Puertro Vallarta.

Brutal. If any of you know how those costal roads are.

We were being stupid gringos and tossing our empty beer bottles at random things on the roadside. Just as I was about to let fly with a bottle a jeep comes around the corner. at the last moment I catch it out of the corner of my eye (thank you video game reflexes!!) I pull back.

The jeep was full of Mexican soldiers behind it was a truck full of soldiers, behind it a truck full of pot? and then another truck of soldiers.

I'm at an internet cafe here in puerto vallarta. Just stopping in to say "Hi!" Haven't taken many pictures yet, but I'm going on a canopy tour tomorrow in the jungles. Should be some nice photo-ops there, and I've been scoping out a lot of places to take pictures of this first week. Great weather here, I heard there was a foot of snow in Denver. I'm glad I got outta there. :P
Anyway, I'll be back next week.

goto tino's and order the red snapper. it's the best fish you'll ever have. It's in aneihboruing town (20 min ride) but well worth the trip

My folks are in PV atm 5 min drive from the airport in NV.

If you have a good immune system, go ahead and drink the water. It never bothered me. But, if it gets you, well, you'll be fartin blood for a while my friend!

These are great Chris, thanks for sharing. Love the shot of the beach houses with all the vines, steps going right into the beach. Looks like the canopy ride was a blast.
