the other day I saw some images posted in a thread about how to make circles come out of squares (and so on) but can't for the life of me find that thread. So if you have any cool images of modelling techniques that you think are helpfull on lowpoly cage to meshsmooth please post here!!

lets turn this around: anyone ever tried to import Gmax to max? looks impossible to me.

It's not impossible, just exceedingly annoying (especially if you have a lot of models to convert). It's been awhile since I've used gmax so my memory might be slightly off. If I'm right though, then the process is something like:

- Open your .gmax file with tempest
- export it to .md3
- Import file into Milkshape
- Export file into a format read by Max.

Short in explanation, but I remember it being really long in execution ><;
