3DS MAX Question

Hey everyone, sorry for the dumb question, but Im very new to max and I have a problem.I was working on a model today when the move, scale, and rotation visuals vanished. Now I have to play with all of the screens in order to get things to where i need them. does anyone know how to get them back? screencap

I'd recomend rebinding that key to something more useful. Does it ever have any practical use?
