Reduction of the polycount.

How can we reduce the whole number of polys of a model of 2000 polys to something like 400 polys.

I mean a way to do it like we reduce a pic from 1024*768 to 640*480...

So we can have less poly on the third person view model of our weapons for our mod.

You're best to do it by hand; mesh reduction plugins often suck and make your model look more synthetic than organic. It just loses it's groove.

..but it sounds difficult to reduce poly's to 1/5 of the original, if I were you I would consider remodelling the weapon using the hi poly model as reference.

I agree with Emar, you could build a 400 poly version in less time then it would take you to reduce the 2000 poly version.
