Maya - Best way to approach
Hi all,
I am in the middle of a project creating an Arri Alexa Mini 3D model. I have shaped out some basic shapes and some supporting lines. But I am not too sure on how I would approach the extrusion inside the camera towards the sensor.
Below is the image and annotation of the shape I am trying to imitate:
At first I thought I would try and circularize and change the edge flow and see if I can rework the topology and edge flow to the shape I desire and then extrude inside the model:
But it is very messy and as a beginner, understanding and re-working edge flow is a challenge until I improve.
To more experienced modellers, how you you go about this challenge? I was thinking staring off simpler and using a Boolean but would still need to create the shape.
Any tips and advice would be appreciate.
