Hello! I wanted to share my ongoing progress I've been making on personal project in my free time. It's an environment based on Warhammer Fantasy setting.

I got inspired by many artworks made for WFRP guidebooks and various concepts and miniatures depicting the Altdorf, capital of the Empire.

Currently I fell rather good about initial blockout. I might have gone gone a bit too far with the overal scope of the street, but I'm confident with the placement of main points of interest.

Right I'm now I'm moving into creating main modular pieces for the houses and towers. I'll try to update this post this post as the there's more progress. Cheers!

Ambitious project! I'm looking forward to the progress.

I see that you've added sidewalks in the streets, is there a worldbuilding reason for that? Cause I've never seen any in european medieval town. If you look at photos of Montpellier for example, which is where I'm from, the historical center has no sidewalks because the whole street is walkable.

    Here's a few ref:

I fear having such neat sidewalks in your Warhammer inspired city might look anachronistic in a "can't put my finger on it exactly" kind of way!

Thanks for heads up. I appreciate the references.

The main road with side walks was one of the pieces originally planned. I wanted to have wider central path with smaller sidewalks on its sides. I found photos of small european town for inspiration. As well as Old Shambles.

My main idea was to have a central road for the cart to pass and sidewalks for pedestrians to navigate. I'm thinking about making them a bit wider than they currently are on blockout.

I also used AI for creating some composition references. I think such road with sidewalks would fit nicely.
