Just quickly curious the "tape" mesh, was that by hand/eye "made" or did you do some sort of sim (simulation) on it?
I ask cause its very tight & looks neat & was curious if you found a quick solution.
Tons of how to's about these types of practices, on surface materials, though i found many to be so finicky.
To @mods: Curiosity does the wiki have all the ways how to do this type of fabric to model/mesh situation?
"tape, patch meshes, scar bumps, ropes, band-aids" as examples.
i looked up fabric and got the rogue (xmen) tutorial.
yes it was actually easy, Simple planes extrusions matching the surfaces beneath and adding a solidify modifier to it after that throw into zbrush and add folds. Process is actually straight forward.
