Hi, we're working on 'Blood&clay'
https://bloodandclay.com/bnc.php and we're looking into transfering the rendering from Arnold to Unreal. If you are an UE pro and skilled in the render features: We want to test UE with this shot( scroll down to 'first shot'). What I want to know first: will it work?
- we have scanned meshes- large polycount, 'dirty' meshes
- high textures resolutions- everything in UDIM layout.
- shaders needs to be converted. Is there already MaterialX in UE.? Then it would be: Converting Arnold to MaterialX-export that to UE.
- groom. We used Yeti and there is plugin for Yeti in UE- does it work out of the box, renders fine?
- icing on the cake would be: Integration into Prism-pipeline. We use Prism2 as our pipeline tool(
https://prism-pipeline.com/de/) and it supports UE. But: does a shot assembly works with our assets?
if you like our project and if you are smart, sharp thinking artist, who loves to dive into technical stuff and find nifty soultions: let's talk.
Thank you
Martin

We will be in production for a really long time. No way we could afford licenses for that und unfortunately Autodesk has no interest of software sponsoring.
Thank you.
I have some ideas that we could discuss if you are interested.
Best day to you!
