Took a couple years off off 3D, but im back, more motivated then ever. Anyways, here is my latest project, hope you guys like it, and share your honest mans opinion
Im not sure how the reply system works lmao, so imma type it like this @Eric Chadwick
Yes, its based on Flakpanzer Ostwind, late ww2 german anti air tank The turret can rotate 360 For refference, since the Ostwind has a Panzerkampfwagen IV chassis, Maybach HL 120 Trm engine The reason i am modelling the interior is mainly because i want to showcase my skills, and having a full interior would look cool to me The plan is to finish the whole tank, with the full interior, make a env scene, a simple ruined city Then optimize everything, retopo what needs it, UV, texture and finally render it as a portfolio piece
"The plan is to finish the whole tank, with the full interior"
That level of detail to me means every observable surface (class A) both inside and out which potentially wouldn't need to add any other portfolio content showing off your hard surface expertise.
@sacboi If i understood it correctly, i basically didnt even need to make the interior, as the outer parts are sufficient enough to show what i know? One of the main reasons i chose this as my project was, that i used to play a lot of Company of Heroes 2, and boiii, this tank won me many battles. Plus, im positive the devs added atleast a cube for the engine, when it gets destroyed that it looks nice, and i also wanted to make everything, but thats on me personally xD

Is this based on a real tank? Or is it a custom concept?
It looks like the turret is fixed in place and can’t rotate?
Why are modeling interior parts? What’s the desired end presentation method? Renders for a portfolio, or in-game real-time render or something else?
Subject line could indicate the make/model rather than just “critique”.
My quick thoughts. Keep going!
