Artstation/Portfolio advice

Hi guys i've been working on 3d for a while now ( 2 years in) and i was wondering if my portfolio is good enough to apply jobs or land a job in the industry? I apllied couple of companies but rejected. I dont want to blame everything on industry state  so i must be doing something wrong or i must be not that level to get a job yet. It would be really really good if u guys  can give me some solid feedback. I also feel like my work quality not there yet but cant figure it out why. I feel like missing couple of vital things . It would be really good if u guys can point out things you see lacks in my works, thanks!!

    Dope characters!! Here's some pointers;

    Your skin textures and hair look like they're from an older gen. I've not made skin or hair materials/textures before so I can't advise you, but they look sort like you've got the same noise across the entire parts of the face. The skin under the eye would have a different texture to the skin on the forhead. This would kinda apply to a lot of the texture work you're doing. The Abyss Knight's armour has the same detail across the entire thing, which makes it look like you just dropped a material on it and called it done. I would like to see you put a lot more time into the hair, as thats the second weak part of your pieces imo.

    Your forms and overall interest are cool, I'm liking the characters you made! I would maybe suggest trying some new things: anatomy sculpts, characters NOT wearing huge armour, animals, etc, just to show employers you know anatomy and how to make other things.

    Apply away friend. Don't be discouraged, the industry sucks atm for finding jobs.

    I agree points you make my friend. I'll make sure to practice texture & hair card placement. I do a lot of anatomy practices & creatures but never post them on my artstation. For my next projects i'll start one creature or anatomy project  for portfolio. I agree that the way my porftolio is , it looks like i only know to do armored guys :D:D:D Thank u so much for your feedback !
