i keep getting this result where it seems like a channel is being completely missed. it happened more than once, i've always managed to make it "reappear" but i don't know how i did and what is causing the issue.
both meshes have been triangulated and i did all the basic procedures to bake this kind of texture.
I've used all the default settings and tried many tweaks afterward

personally I'd bake in something else - xnormal was the best tool at the time but its not that time anymore

might be something there? the renderer option you can change, and the setting at high poly and low poly are also things to try, there is also setting/options section where you can change things there also.
