Make a triangle with selected edges in Maya.

Does anyone know if there is a tool or technique I could use to make a triangle from 2 selected edges. I would normally use the append to polygon tool but selecting edges is really fiddily. I've also tried extruding the edge, collapsing it and snap it to a vert to manually make a triangle but it's not always easy to do it that way.

So for the image above ideally I'd press a button and it'd make a new triangle between those edges.

Neither one I'm afraid. The only thing that sorta works is using fill hole with all 3 edges selected which isn't usable sometimes. Thanks for the suggestions!

Wow, totally misread the screenshot when checking it on my phone. Somehow thought the hole was a large face.

Hm, maybe Append to Polygon goes in the right direction then. I better stop guessing now, as I don't have Maya to try myself

Append to polygon is what I'd usually use but it's a bit fiddly and has a hard time selecting edges sometimes.

just tested as i am also not a native maya user, append to polygons seems to do the job

Right, I've used that in the past but I'm looking for an alternative if there is one.
