[WIP] Retro's Government Office

Started a new project and trying to improve by creating small objects to go in my environment. The setting is a retros 50 government office environment. I want the scene to almost look mysterious with a thick atmosphere. I have the blockout (which I'll post soon).

Update: Completed the blockout and some props and will start on shaders very soon. Also, completed some props for the desk (went more detailed since they'll be focused on.)

Be careful with the wear if the scene is actually set in the 50s, as objects from the time period wouldn't be as worn as we see them today. Also be aware of manufacturing techniques of the time. For example, they didn't have laser etching and probably not those fonts on the name plate and lighter. But they did have photo etching, so find some reference for the differences. You generally don't see as much complex graphics being etched on top of a wavy surface like on the lighter. Generally avoid putting wear everywhere on a prop, even an aged one, and really focus it where it's handled.

The only time stuff gets wear everywhere is from drastic and prolonged exposure to the environment.

Wow, I have never of etching, so apparently it was done on metal back then... Very interesting. I will fix the props soon. Thank you for the feedback!

Update: Working with importing props, creating shaders with a dust layer, messing around with lighting. Still need to organize the props and add some in the background.

Finally calling this one done! Did mainly study on lighting, rendering and UE5. Textures 2048 x 2 and rendered with Lumen. Based on the book "The Day After Roswell."
