Overlapped UVs per UV island 3ds Max.Accurate method to find them?

Hi)
I downloaded kodama plugin(on CGTrader) wich performs checking of uploading model.
The problem is that it finds overlapped UVs in my model.
In 3ds Max I use unwrap modifier to identify overlapping(I render UVW template where overlapped UVs are marked with red color)-see attachment

However this method does not show me any overlapping UVs(in this case)
Could you advise-how else can I find them?

Just in case, check if you have several UV channels and if overlapping comes from there.

surprisingly tricky non trivial problem, probably beyond the scope of a script (though possible it's going to be pretty slow), it seems relative simple a first sight but then you have to resolve stuff like....

where none the uv points reside within either island so you have to compute the island outlines and test those.

Thanks for responding.The problem is solved))I simply forgot to delete a couple of small pieces in the model(bits,which I was not going to unwrap)On the UV canvas they looked like small tiny lines.

Thanks for that Eric, directed me to a very useful code snippet (it renders each face to a buffer and if theres something already rendered it flags it as overlapped). I've known about this method but never had the time or inclination to code it

100 by 50 buffer, the uvunwrap modifier uses 2000 * 2000
