Decided to make a thread and post some progress/discoveries while I work on this piece. Doing it all in Blender using the BPainter addon which has been interesting having used 3DCoat for so long; definitely some things to get used to
Here's a catch-up gif to show a bit of the process leading to where I am currently.
A big thing when painting in Blender that took me a while to solve was making sure that Render Properties > Color Management >View Transform is set to "Standard" rather than the default "Filmic."

WIP update.
Still just working around the entire model getting the details in there and cleaning everything up. Finally starting on the hair which will be fun and still trying to balance all the red.
Painted highlights just hit different 🤩: This is looking good.

I got some feedback recently that I think really helped push this model further.
My buddy Denny Zunon suggested some proportional tweaks including squaring off the hips:
And another good friend Kevin Manning gave me a great paintover to get a bit more of a classic anime feel in there seen on the left:
Still working on refinement but here's an update after all the great feedback.
Giving Blender's Rigify a go in order to get her posed.
First pass on something. Still need to polish up some weights a bit.
Some more excellent feedback from Steve Strickland to help push the hair.
I also started to put together a scene for some final renders.

@og96 thank you very much, I had a lot of fun working on her! For wires, if you use the Sketchfab viewer in the post you can turn on the wireframe.
I'll mention that she's a bit higher poly than I could have gotten away with but I was mainly focused on the painting.

Wonderful work! I really like the choice of colors and the deep purple background. It really complements well. I saw in the progress gif that you changed the length of the legs. How do you make large changes like that without having to re-do the UV mapping, painting, rigging etc. or maybe you did have to re-do some work?

So the leg adjustments happened before I did any rigging and as long as the changes aren't too extreme the UVs should hold up without too much stretching or additional work.
