unsubdivide blender multires

Just realised that if you have lost your lowest subdivision model, then add the multi res modifer and go to 'unsubdivide'.

yuo can do that in zbrush too, but it van be flakey sometimes

blender is certainly more stable, as it lets you cycle through possible options. sometimes zbrush just does the wrong solution...
zbruish does it most of the time, but on the odd occasion it just refuses with no reason
another nice little tip picked up from a retopo addon was to go in to the materials 'viewport display' tab, click on the 'color' and knock the alpha down to virtually zero. then you get a nice see through retopo mesh without the issues you with back face culling. It works in solid display mode, no need to rurn on xray
