For most of the time i thought they used a real actress and let her do her craft so that it looks "uncanny valley"'ish and i think the deliberately made it look ( lighting wise ) like its a CGI/greenscreen composition
I think i remember reading original posts by the creators that it runs at 4k / 30fps on a 3090 GTX, but dont remember were i read that

Best looking CGI character yet. Slow subtle movements, super! Well the best I have knowingly seen so far.
Im sure Weta will push it to offline rendering quality. Specially with the integration of Wetas Gazebo renderer.

I remember one of the two producers said, reproducing an avatar of a real person would come in very handy.
If a pesident doesn't have time to give an interview, his avatar could give it for him.
