(Arnold) How to Create Shadow layer for transparent shadows

I am currently trying to render a separate shadow pass to use while compositing. I have a colored glass with a transparent colored shadow, however, when I try to use aishadowmatte to isolate those shadows out they appear as black. Does anyone know how I could render a separate shadow layer for transparent shadows? I am using arnold and Maya 2020.
