Zbrush symmetry

In my symmetrical model I have individual parts that are also symmetrical in themselves. E.g. Finder or other parts.

I can't find a way to add symmetry to these parts afterwards.
It would be much easier to be able to create them symmetrically first.

Is that possible somehow?

If I understand correctly I think you need to split these to separate subtools. Also try the local symmetry button.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to use separate subtools. The parts are part of the body, fingers or tentacle.

Sorry, but I don't see how I could use local symmetry to do this. Could you explain that in more detail?

You can try split the finger, for example. Place the pivot in the center of finger in gizmo mode. Put the finger straight 90 degrees. Make Mirror and Weld. Add the detail you need already on the symmetrical finger. And then at the end, when symmetry is no longer needed on the finger, merge subtools and connect finger with hand by making a dynamesh in high resolution.

IF you want to work symmetrically on individual parts you'll just have to split them like that.
