Hey Everyone, Bloodborne was the first souls like game I played, and after finding this concept I thought it'd be cool to give it a go, here's my blockout progress so far . Any feedback would be really appreciated, cheers!
This is looking great, I'm loving those gothic shapes and fog.
Maybe not too much fog, so you can still see those cool spires you have in the background. And maybe more ambient light, the ref shot you posted has very strong ambient light, you might not want to to that bright with it though
@wenglish Thanks man, yeah I think you're right about the fog and the ambient light, though I'm not really interested in matching the mood and lighting from the reference exactly. The ambient light is definitely too dark.
This is starting to turn out really nice looking! I know you're not completely done yet but one thing I think could make your scene more polished and alive feeling is more wear and tear and dirt buildup in the corners of buildings. Maybe some decals would do the trick! Maybe also some stain decals dripping down the walls from the top! I think doing that would give your scene that extra kick!
Here's how the ground and walls are looking, I spent a lot of time trying to get the ground to a finished state. I feel like after I add some 3d bricks on the texture I'll be able to call the ground finished
Walls are getting close, I need to make some brick assets to place around to stop it feeling so flat, also gonna sculpt the trims for more interesting details. Metal bars are still blockout mesh, need to find a design that fits the scene better.
Rather large update here, I'll have some more screenshots soon I ported everything to UE5 and just general tweaking and finishing up some assets, it's been so long now I don't really remember what's changed but here you go
@Fabi_G Thank you yeah when I look back I really like the orange, but after a lot of time tweaking, I found this colour to be the best (imo of course) but yeah that orange light with blue ambient lighting is always a win
I'm calling this guy done still a lot of stuff I want to tweak and add, but I felt it was time to move on. More shots on my artstation. Thank you all for the feedback along the way! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/0nRrL4

Liked the more orange light tones you had going earlier. Keep it up
