Substance Painter Material will not update

I've got no clue if I clicked on some hotkey or deactivated the viewport to update but my materials will not update to save my life. If someone has ran into a similar issue please let me know. I've tried examining a previous file where my materials are updating but can't find a solution.

Have you got multiple texture sets set up? Click on the "texture set settings", and see if there are any additional materials applied

Not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for here are the settings. This image of the file in particular is where the trouble started not sure what I clicked.

Sorry, the one next over, Texture set list, will display all applied material IDs

Kay, seems like it's got one material set up - does this occur with any other mesh that you import or just this one in particular? Any past working projects?

Fwiw I can't see anything up with the way the file is set up either.

Are you getting any errors or warnings in the log window?

What happens if you start again from scratch?

This is what another file looks like as you can see when I use Base Color and the other substance options for texturing it works fine. I was using diffuse, specular based on a tutorial I was watching

It was working fine until it just stopped my results out of nowhere I'm not sure if I hit a hotkey or it's a glitch in substance I have yet to find a solution. I just wanted to follow the tutorial to the best of my ability as I'm not really certain as to what the difference between the base color and diffuse is I'd assume they're the same thing.

Yup I have this other file that I was using to get started in substance everything checks out. I just don't understand why I'm unable to use diffuse, specualr and other methods for texturing.

Basecolor and Diffuse are different channels - if your shader is expecting basecolor and you give it diffuse there's a good chance it won't work.

How do I set up my file to expect diffuse and other channels? Could you perhaps walk me through it, please?
