Hey everyone! It's finally time for Nodevember!

I missed the event last year, but I decided to partake this year to improve my material creation skills (especially since it's a ton of fun). This post will be updated everyday with a material based on each categories.

This one took longer than expected, so I'll definitely have to improve my speed. I also think it could look a lot better, but I'm overall happy with the result. If you've got any kind of feedback, please go ahead!

More cumbling to the cookie dough otherwise its cool for a day. Neat idea. (like the center seems great then the outsides seem blurry for whatever reason.)

Thanks David! I think its the opacity map that causes the blurry edge, but I'll have to look into that.

The shell of the m&m's are that shiney? haven't had anything like this in about 10+ years so i totally forgot how they look but if they are that shiney, then you did a spot on job but i feel they maybe a slight bit duller on the shine candy coating. Minor issue if it is one but i thought i should mention it anyway, and your welcome i like the idea and you requested feedback i'll try to take my time with every C&C so that i make sure i shoulld post a response if i think something looks off.
If i could add some broken popped curnals and chips from the popcorn might add some good variation, just a random extra thought i felt should be mentioned to give it a bit more charm, that candy one does stand out nicely. Do what you think is best for your works, i'd hate to be the reason something doesn't look right after changing it, i am confident but what i see others might not so i have to state this..

From the references I've seen they seem to be, but after looking at this image, I really want to add some cracks and exposed chocolate to some of the pieces.

The broken kernels is also a great idea! I might add some bits and pieces before posting the final mat in my portfolio.

Not really happy with that one, so I'll either modify it or make a completely different one before posting it in my portfolio.

Based on "The Enigma of Amigara Fault" by Junji Itō.

A quick parameter to warp the shapes around.

Took longer than the previous one, but overall, I'm happy with the result. Once again, critiques always appreciated! I'll modify some of the materials before posting them on Artstation.

I tried to make a safe hidden under multiple layers of wallpaper. It could be a lot more polished, especially the safe, so I might edit this.

-Nodevember 2020: the final-

I had to put the challenge on hold for multiple reasons, but I still wanted to finish it. Even though I'm not satisfied with all of the results, it was still a great experience which I definitely want to do again.
