3D scanning hard-surface items?

I'm not really talented with 3D modelling and I was curious if I could use photogrammetry software, or other type of software/hardware combination, to scan hard-surface items. As an indie developer, that would help me a lot, since I own most of the items I want to scan for the game (axe, knives, pistol, etc).

Nowadays, platform / software combinations are varied across the board, therein alternatively utilizing smart phones as one feasible option for those on a budget:

Thanks for all the content, guys! Really appreciate it. Unfortunately, both Meshroom and display.land don't work very well for hard surfaces like knives, wrenches, guns, etc. They work wonders for organic stuff (logs, plants) and stuff like pillows, bags, etc.

Maybe lightning is an issue? I've been using this kit to shoot things, as well as a nylon thread to make it "float": https://www.wayfair.com/Ktaxon--Studio-Photography-Tent-Lighting-Kit-wf185007730-L269-K~KTAX1539.html?refid=CNXY1

Just curious, as to what software / hardware scanning solution are you using at the moment with that lighting setup, alongside matte spray application/s for reflective surfaces?

I've tried taking pictures with a camera, then reassembling with Agisoft and Meshroom. Both came out meh. Then I tried the app display.land.
