Hi everyone! I am finalizing this environment I did for CGMA's modular environment course.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I like it! You got me wondering what the floor area is like below the platform? One critique is how bright that one single candle is. It's also illuminating the left side of the desk a lot, and the balance of lighting on the right side is a little dark.

I would've liked to see more color variation in the environment, as right now it's almost sepia. At night, astronomer would be working in almost complete darkness because any extra light will get in a way of star gazing. So maybe it would be better to fill the room with moonlight instead. The combination of cool moonlight with accents of warm candle lights could be wonderful. Overall a competent job!

@polypassion I dunno man, I kinda like the monochrome style here, I think it really suits it.

Thanks polypassion, I will experiment with the lighting. I will probably create several lighting variations and post them here later on to see which ones are better.

About the lighting setup, i think it works, but it needs more bounce light from the main source (moon)

I updated some assets and improved the lighting based on feedback I received here and from other sources. I decided to just focus on a single lighting setup that focuses on higher contrast, cooler tones instead of working on multiple. This is just a preview build so please ignore the lighting artifacts. Any feedback is appreciated.

Much better but i think the AO is a bit too strong.
Also, the bookshelves are kinda repetitive and would benefit from something to break that. Like that ladder to be of a different material.
