Hi polycount,

I did this long sword today. I struggle a bit with the texture i could make on this long blade, if you have some advices i take it

Your handle is way to thin. It looks like a twig right now. So all the volumes need to be a tad larger.

Which area is it you struggle on with the texture?

I have a probleme with the texture of the blade itself. I want to make it used , rusty but when i do, that's make a realistic render and i want to keep it cartoony. I need to find some good references.

You 're totally right for the handle. I checked the proportions and they are totally broke.

I think i broke all my proportions when i did my base mesh .

I tried to fix it and it's way better thanks.

That's a fun concept to work from!

Right off the bat, I can tell you that the hat is about twice the height as the concept's- not sure if you're wanting it to be that tall or not.

If you want the sword to be rusty but still cartoony, perhaps look at the rusty weapons from Breath of the WIld?

Otherwise, nice work!
