How to get a similar look to that of the Telltale games?

I have no prior experience with this, so please excuse my ignorance:

I want to know what the process is for making a game look the way that a Telltale game does, specifically the comic book look of The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. I'm less interested in how to achieve that exact same look, and more interested to know what the work process is in general and what are the positions involved in achieving such a look (Artists, modellers, etc.).

Thanks in advance.

Mostly you need shader artists, the modelers, the concept artists and texture artists, and technical artists/programmers working in tandem. A modeler can get a long way but it often starts to fall apart in real time where there are just elements they cant get by default without doing some serious shader and texturing work, shader wizards can only do so much without good concept art, models, and style guides to help them nail the look, tech artists and programmers cant make specialised tools or features or whatever if they don't realize they're needed and programmers in particular... usually aren't artists so even if they technically can implement the technical side of a style like this by themselves, it'll not look cohesive.

It's pretty straightforward once you know the basic kind of roles and workflows in any game, really!

Aside from achieving a particular aesthetic via those specialties mentioned above, I'd also add *Story Telling* which the original (TTGs studio) were renown for.
