Maya 2020 ncloth performance Issue?

Hey all, working away on my Daredevil Apartment but came across an issue with ncloths. I'm trying to create a custom blanket simulation over a couch, but for whatever reason, the animation itself is really slow even if I adjust the playback speed. My ncloth object isn't anything crazy, just 30x30 polys with 1 height. I'm using default attributes on the object as well.

Not sure if it's some new update in Maya 2020, or if there some settings I need to change.

Please let me know your thoughts.

ncloth is always slow. Have you compared it to Maya2019 or how are you sure its slower in 2020?

Even in 2019, ncloth is still slower. It worked well in the 2018 version, so I'm not sure what the problem is. When 2019 first came out, ncloth was faster.

2019 and 2020 both take the same amount of time for ncloth, but 2018 just used to be faster.

My system hasn't changed, instead, I did upgrade when my old laptop broke down.

All my drivers are up to date as well.

Quick update, If I use ncloth in a new, empty scene, Then it runs as it should. Even if I delete all history in my project scene, ncloth still runs slow. It's odd, because every other action I do in the full scene works fine, without delay/slowing down.

Maybe its spcific to animation?
