Do you guys set up UV's on a hard surface model before you do all the beveled edges and subdivide?

Im trying to get some pretty clean UV's but I've already beveled the edges and made them pretty high poly but I haven't done any UV's for them and im starting to wonder if I should have done all the UV's before I beveled all the edges.

In max its worth doing, in maya its basically pointless cos they'll get wrecked

Assuming you mean to allow yourself to apply textures and such on your high res meshes, kinda like what concept designers do? Yeah, definitely do your UV's beforehand. Max preserves them pretty well.

I always do my UVs after I've finalized both the low and high assets. You can't always guarantee that you won't have texture stretching otherwise.
